We have found out that reptiles do have scales or have a bony external plate such as a shell. So we think you are right about the idea that the mystery animal is a reptile. Also, another fact we have found out is that non-birds don’t have nests.
When we went outside to where the black print was and felt it. The texture of the black print felt very oily and we also saw some red spludges on the wall too. We think this is from the same animal.
As well as seeing the egg, we saw that inside of it was a bit of blood and a yellow spludge which none of us know what it could be.
A few facts that could tell us that the animal is a reptile
Reptiles are found in every continent except Antarctica (where it is too cold).
Most reptiles lay eggs which have leathery shells that are resistant to drying.
Most reptiles are carnivorous and eat insects, other reptiles, and small animals.
Here is a possible reptile (the Komodo dragon) that laid the eggs.The longest one was measured at around 10 feet or 3.048m.

On the 25th of May , me and my family went to Walt Disney World Florida. We were staying at Fairfield Inn. It took us 8 hrs to get there by plane but the entertainment was great. There were around 35 movies to choose from. I watched Johnny English Reborn , War Horse and Twilight Breaking Dawn. There were about 20 albums to choose from. I listened to One Direction, JLS and Demi Lovato. There were about 25 TV shows and 15 channels to choose from. There was a section to call someone on the plane and you just typed in their seat number and you could speak through the remote. When we got off another plane had landed so it took an hour to get through passport control. After that , there was a fire on the road so we had to wait another hour and it took us fifteen minutes to get to our hotel. When we got there they had us booked for one room instead of two connecting rooms so we got two separate rooms but one was being clean so it was 10 pm before we got our rooms.
On the second day we went to Magic Kingdom. It was a 15 minute bus ride there and then we had to take a 5 minute monorail to the actual park. We first fast passed what we wanted to go on but we queued for Splash Mountain. My sister and I got very wet on it. Our favourite ride , Big Thunder Mountain, was closed. We queued up for Space Mountain as well and my sister loved it.
On the third day we went to Epcot. We first got a fast pass for Soarin. Then we went on Mission Space. It is a simulator that takes you to Mars. We then went on Soarin and it is a very good simulator. We watched shows and went around the different countries. We also went on Space Ship Earth. It takes you around a building that tells you about what has happened since the earth started , then it takes your photo, you answer some questions and then it puts you into the future.
On the fourth day we went to Animal Kingdom. We all went on Expedition Everest and my sister loved it. We went on a safari trip and saw a lot of different animals. We also got a fast pass for Kali River Rapids but because of the tropical storm it was shut.
On the fifth day we went to Aquatica and we went on big scary slides. They were called dolphin plunge, omacka rocka, whanau way, walhalla wave, tassie twister, hooroo run, tauma racer and the river rapids. It was raining so there was hardly anyone there and we went on the slides about five times. We went in a pool and every fifteen minutes the lifeguard would say surfs up and big waves would appear and everyone got soaked.
On the sixth day we went to Hollywood Studios. It was my sister’s first time on rock n roller coaster and she loved it. We watched Muppet Vision, Disney Channel Rocks and Beauty and the Beast. We met quite a few characters. We went on tower of terror and it was great. They were our main two rides.
On the seventh day we went to Magic Kingdom again and met a lot of characters. We got a fast pass for Big Thunder Mountain and then went on it. Splash Mountain was closed but it then opened and I got soaked.We queued up to see Merida from Brave. We also queued up to see two characters from Tinkerbell. I queued up for an hour to go on Space Mountain with Dad and Grace.
On the eighth day we went to Animal Kingdom and did all the things we love. We managed to get on the river rapids. We went home half way through the day and it was chucking it down.
On the ninth day it was our rest day in the pool. I met a friend and we both got very sunburnt. My Dad didn’t put any cream on his face because at golf it is sunny so he is used to it. At the end of the day he had a tomato face.
On the tenth day we went to Epcot and we did what was best. We did a character meeting and we queued up for 40 minutes.There was an innoventions place and we did a piggy bank video. You did challenges to earn money for something. There was also a weather game were you decided what you needed in a storm and if they had that object you had to place it in the right place. My favourite was the build your own roller coaster simulator. You got to choose three steps and then you got into a robotic arm and it moves side to side and up and down.
On the eleventh day we went to Seaworld and for the first time I went on Manta and Kraken.

We went on to Journey to Atlantis and I got soaked. We went to the sting rays and me and my sister touched them all. We all watched a 3D show called Turtle Trek. My favourite show was the whales and the dolphins show. I wasn’t allowed to sit in the splash zone at the Shamu show. My favourite rides were Manta and Kraken. I got to feed the dolphins and I loved it. Sea world is my favourite park.
On the last day we went to hollywood studios for a bit and went on rock n roller coaster and tower of terror again. We then went to downtown disney and had an ice cream. We then went to our hotel and collected our luggage. We then got a taxi to the airport and had our tea. When we got on the plane I looked at the entertainment and it was terrible. It was eight am before we got back. We drove back to my house and unfortunately my fish was dead. We then went to sleep for 3 hours.
I loved my holiday and we are going there again just not in that hotel.
This game is a fun way to learn probability!
Tuesday … AGAIN

As the sun goes down and the moon is rising something else is rising as well.. Mice squeak a the floor falls further away. Out of the window they flew.
Above the puny houses,they flew, in search with on thing on their mind.CHEESE! Luckily there was a cheese factory near by. The mice swam taking big gulps of the cheese while doing the mousey paddle. After nearly exploding there little (but now fat) bodies they thought a nice rest would do them good.
Do you remember the old ladywhom had met the frogs? Well she was in for a even bigger suprise! They floated slowly into the house and sat on her lap , drank her coco and wachted “How to make the perfect cheese”. Soon the mice left leaving cheese on her remote!

Sitting alone in my ancient living room, I was watching my favourite tv show ‘Deal or No Deal’ (I do love that Noel Edmonds, don’t you?) when I presumably dosed off at around half pat eight.
It must’ve been an hour later at half nine when I was woken up by a large BANG! I could not believe it! My favourite lamp I got when it was my wedding day in the summer of 1927 had been smashed to pieces! Now, I know you may think I’ve gone nuts when I say this but I swear I saw one hundred ugly toads swarming around me! Slowly rising from my beautiful arm chair, I travelled to the kitchen to grab a broom. Consequently, because I had taken too long to get the broom, the toads had vanished.
There were a couple of things I noticed that had changed since I fell asleep. Firstly, my beloved Deal or No Deal had been changed to MTV on the tele, and someone called Nicki Minaj (what a silly name) was singing about ‘Starships’, I have to say she wasn’t very good either! Also, my remote had been sprayed with sticky goo and had spread into the battery compartment so I couldn’t change the channel as you can’t do it on the TV. That reseolved in me having to watch MTV all night.
All in all, I have come to hate toads as well as MTV too. So has Tibbles (the cat). Life’s not fair soemtimes, I suppose you just need to get on with it.
In class we were set a task to write a witness statement for a lady called Mrs Bailey.This is mine…
Sleeping soundly,I sat on my armchair whilst my favourite show,emmerdale,was playing.It was quiet in the room but I didn’t know what was happening.Well,then I heard a big bang and with a jerk and a jump I saw large green creatures floating around.Now I know my eyes aren’t very good but I’m telling you something was there.I noticed that Emmerdale had been changed to MTV.It wasn’t me because I only listen to classical music.Then,I saw the slime on the remote and I knew that the toads,or frogs. I tried to shoo them away but they wouldn’t budge.Wanting a broom,I stormed into the kitchen and grabbed one from the cupboard.
I came back in and noticed that they had all gone. Feeling really upset,I saw that they had smashed my favourite lamp. Flabbergasted at the mess they had made,I picked up the broken pieces of china. That was my best lamp. It was a present for my birthday off my husband who,later that day, was took into hospital with a lung problem and two days later he died.
Weeping sadly,I threw the pieces in the bin. The TV was starting to annoy me as this person called Nicki Minaj (what a silly name) was singing,speaking actually,absolutely terribly. I hated the toads and I still do. My cat always checks downstairs before he goes to sleep.
Sitting alone in my ancient green arm chair, I was watching my favourite show (which only comes on,on Tuesday)on my cheap TV.Suddenly I dozed off for about an hour or more and when i woke up and saw dozens of green spots I squinted my eyes thinking that it would make it more clearer.However,no luck,I could still see dozens of huge spots.
Taking my glasses off, I now saw more spots but now it looked like toads I was petrified I couldn’t believe my eyes.I blinked several times but nothing happened.They were watching a horror film so I went in front of them and they all started to stare at me.It was like they were hypnotized they didn’t even blink.
At 10:30 this all happened.Despite the fact I was 69 years old, I still frantically ran to the kitchen but unfourtunately on the way I slipped on a slimy lily pads I fell on my back and I probaly have several bruises.Eventually I got up and carried on going to the kitchen.I grabbed my broom from the corner of the room.However,when I got back the disgusting toads were gone leaving their lily pads and slime all over the remote control.My cat,called Sweety,had been underneath the table all this time.

Even though it is on the 25th of May,I am super excited about my holiday to Disneyworld, Florida.We are going for twelve days to Marriott Village.We can pick any of the hotels to eat in and swim in. Our hotel is Fairfield inn. It will be super hot and I don’t think I can last. I will tell you about my holiday in June.

I think that having a blog for Sea Cadets is a great way to encourage young and older children not to be afraid of joining something. We can write down the sea cadet promise and give challenges to people to do outside or inside and also quiz. It will also be great boost for the sea cadets as they know that every one around the world appreciate them. I will love to have a blog.
The night was dark as evil roamed the city. Until now!!! A new superhero was in the town of Bolton,his name,Mysterion. Wherever he went evil stoped but still some people didnt care.
We enjoy spainish because it is an amazing activity to learn another language in school.
This half term we have been learning about spainish countries and naitanalaties .

Year5 have been learning spanish with Mrs Entwistle and Mrs Powell and this half term we have been learning about Countries and
Nationalities.This is really helpful to me as I might be going to Spain next year.I love being taught how to speak a different language.
If you want to say to someone I am English and they are spanish it would only make sense to them if you said Soy ingles (male) or Soy inglesa (female).
Did you know that spain is espana?Whats not to like,you get to learn a different language with two of the best teachers ever!

This is how you spell attack.
First you place a coin into the meter then sit down , relax and let the machine do all the work.
When you sit on the chair and are strapped in then pulled to the table by some rope.This causes a large , heavy , bronze machine lowers from the ceiling and using 600 horse power suction the machine , well , sucks up all the mess on the table.
After that the machine comes down further causing it to touch the table.As a result a red glow comes from the machine which means that it is heating up the food. Soon after it the machine raises from the table leaving a lovely spread (food).
Finally a flamethrower brings down the candle and flame throws onto the candle causing it to be lit. The flamethrower rises leaving you to eat.
How does the child wake up?(Stage 1-Wake up)
When the clock strikes eight the colossal bell would ring and then suddenly, the bed springs up rapidly and will throw the child into the bath. Now the child is ready for stage 2.
How does the machine bath the child?(Stage 2- bath time)
As the child has been thrown in the bath, he will then turn the cog which is next to the bath. This causes the machine to start working and water will start to fall into the bath. If the child want’s shampoo, then he will have to turn the cog faster. Soon the shampoo will squirt onto the child’s head. Then the mechanical hands will massage the child’s head. After the massage the machine will rinse and dry the child’s hair and body. Now he is ready for stage three.
How does the child get dressed?(Stage 3- Getting dressed)
When the child is dried he is then dressed. So then he will need to put his arm’s up in the air, then the machine’s hands will pick up the T.Shirt and slip it down the child’s body. After, the mechanical hands will then put the child’s pants on. Finally the machine will then put the child’s shoes on and tie his shoe laces. Now the child is ready for the next stage.
How does the child get fed?(Stage 4- Breakfast)
Once the child is dressed, they sit down for breakfast. In order to make the machine work, the child must peddle the peddles. When the machine starts moving, the wheels start to turn and this causes the wheels to crash into each other. Then the milk and cereal pours into the funnel and into the bowl. As the cereal and milk is poured into the bowl, the mechanical arm picks up the spoon and feeds the child. Meanwhile the other hand brushes the child’s hair. The third hand massages the child’s back. Now the child is ready for the next stage.
How the child gets to school?(Stage 5-Go to school)
As the child sit’s on the stool, immediately the machine will then put the backpack’s onto the child’s back. Next the stool will fling up and fling the child up in the air and out of the door.
